100 Hour Vinyasa Teacher Training Course & Workshops

The Art of Sequencing is the Heart of the Vinyasa Class

 Who can join the Teacher Training? Who do I offer this Teacher Training to?

  • Teachers who have been studying a different style of yoga, for example, Hatha, Ashtanga, Sivananda or other styles where they work with different routines.

  • Vinyasa Yoga teachers who would like to have new inspiration for their regular techniques of sequencing

  • Students with solid and disciplined self-practice who are looking to gain a deeper understanding of how a Vinyasa Yoga class is structured.

 

How do these series work? What will you receive?

  • For the 100-hour Vinyasa Yoga Teacher training, you shall visit all weekend. Upon the completion of your courses, you will receive a 100-hour Yoga Alliance registered certification.

  • You can visit some separate workshop weekends for a 20-hour certification of attendance.

  • In case you are not yet a Yoga teacher, you will receive a certificate of attendance.

  • You will receive a handbook with the sequencing principle

  • Sample sequences on different topics

  • Recommended reading list

  • My video library access

What will you learn?

  • Understand how to prepare students for the flow of the class both systematically, both anatomically.

  • Learn to build classes around one or multiple peaks poses, chakras, philosophical terms, categories of asanas or alignment principle.

  • Learn to sequence flows which can energise or calm down depending on the student's need.

  • Learn about parallel poses. Learn how to introduce poses in an attainable flow.

  • Learn principles of sequencing about neutralising and contra poses.

  • Learn about the emotional and energising effect of sequences.

  • I will explore and review some sequences from popular yoga styles such as Rocket Yoga 1 and Rocket Yoga 2.

  • Learn how to bring creativity to your vinyasa flow by incorporating other elements i.e.: Pilates.

The Structure of the Classes will be the following:

9:30 - 11:00

  • We are starting with a led class of 90-minute e.g.: Hip opening Flow

  • Small Break of 15 minutes.

11:15 - 12:00

  • We are re-talking the structure of the class and writing out the sequence.

  • We are re-discussing why the class was sequenced in a way?

  • How many peaks pose we have applied?

  • How do we prepare the body anatomically and systematically to arrive at those peak poses?

  • How we use contra poses.

12:00 - 13:00 Lunch break

13:00 - 15:30 Asana Library and sequence building

  • We will review the main asanas which take part in the sequence.

  • We review the main muscle actions of asanas and their effect.

  • In a silent working process, students will be asked to write out a Sequence of the same topic as my guided class in a 30 minute

  • You will need to add modifications to your sequence and review how you would adjust it to Beginner and to intermediate levels. What would you add, what would you take off from the sequence?

 15:30 - 16:30

  • You will teach your mini-sequence to someone in the group

  • You will feedback on each other sequence

16:45 - 18:15 Guided Class
